Poor cell reception in your office?

We are aware that many of our buildings have less than optimal cell phone reception. While we explore some technical solutions (cellular signal boosters), we would like to make you aware of an alternative technology that you can implement now. We have tested it and feel that it can be a good solution. We encourage you to turn on Wifi Calling on your cell phone. Simply search in the settings of your phone -- turn on Wifi Calling.

NOTE: You will be asked to enter your address for 911.

We suggest that you use the building address for the building that you most frequently work in. The local Olds emergency services (police / fire / EMS) all know these addresses even if Google Maps is not aware of them.

This means that your phone will use the College Wifi to connect to Telus, Bell, Rogers, and route the phone call through our network when the cellular signal is low.
